Organic Beans, Organic Peas & Organic Lentils are all part of the pulse family and are a very important part of a healthy diet.
They are high in fibre, high in protien low in fat and have no cholesterol. Organic Road has a variety of organic pulses in many shapes & sizes great for many different cooking applications.
Dried beans, peas and lentils are extremely versatile. They can be made into wonderful soups, infused with herbs and vegetables to make delicious curries and casseroles.They can be sprinkled with lime juice, balsamic or other dressings and used in salads.
Beans & Peas can be puréed and served as a dip or spread, or mashed and made into koftas. Lentils are great used in curries and soups or the Puy lentils are great as they retain there shape and go well with finsh or chicken.

Organic Adzuki Beans

Used in rice dishes and Asian cooking.
Organic Borlotti Beans
Product of USA certified organic by USDA.
Their meaty, chestnut flavor make borlotti a wonderful main dish and a perfect side dish. Soak and cook them as you would any other dried bean (approx. 30 minutes cooking time).
Organic Cannellini Beans

Cannellini beans are a popular accompaniment to tuna, pasta and dishes containing poultry. Can be use as a fish or chicken substitute.
Organic Lima Beans

To cook lima beans, place them in a pot and add three cups of fresh water or broth for each cup of dried beans. Bring the beans to a boil and then reduce to a simmer, partially covering the pot. Lima beans generally take about 45 minutes to become tender when cooking this way.

A split hulled mung bean. Easiest bean to digest, great in dahl & soups.
