Organic Chocolate, Cacao & Carob
Carob is a tropical pod that contains a sweet, edible pulp and inedible seeds. After drying, the pulp is roasted and ground into a powder that resembles cocoa powder, but does not have the same flavor and texture of chocolate. Carob, in favorable contrast. It contains no tannin, and no caffeine.
Cocoa powder and chocolate also come from a tropical pod. The pods hold cacao beans that are processed to make cocoa powder and chocolate. Raw Cacao is the raw bean dried in it raw form. It can come as a powder, nibs or the beans.

Carob is a natural caffeine-free alternative to Cocoa. To substitute Carob for Cocoa Powder replace 1 part Cocoa with 2-1/2 parts Carob powder by weight.
